Laura Bell
Laura Bell’s installation work often references the human body and its processes. She attempts to represent both chaos and order in her work.
Bell’s images explore natural forms like growth and disease as if looking through the lens of a microscope. Each line on the canvas informs the next, and images are built from a singular starting point. Bell feels this style of making conveys the unexpected qualities of nature and the unplanned components of artmaking.
Bell received a Master of Fine Arts from Temple University and works as an adjunct professor at Kennesaw State University. The titles of her pieces for the Signia Hotel are Reach and Trap, respectively, and will hang in the restaurant on level four.

Carl Linstrum
Carl Linstrum received his Master of Fine Arts in drawing and painting from Georgia State University. Linstrum has had a range of professional experiences beyond his role as an artist, including his position as a gallery owner and art consultant. He has helped several artists realize their dreams of working in the field by developing their careers. He has also served on the board of the Atlanta Gallery Association, which highlights Atlanta as the cultural hub of the South.
His work focuses on an encaustic style, which is the art of applying layers of wax and pigment over images to produce a whimsical haze. His pieces are a commentary on spirituality and memory, which is exemplified through his dream-like style. The colors wash into one another, almost forming a block of muted color. He explores limited landscapes, and carefully chooses the flora he represents.
The titles of his pieces for the Signia Hotel are Burst 1 and Burst 2, respectively, and will be featured in the restaurant on level four. Each painting complements the other through its similar visual motifs. His form and use of color are robust and create hazy illusions for the viewer.
